What if there was not one F Train, but 2 F Trains? Well, that is the situation right now in New York City. From August 2023 until early 2024, the MTA is replacing the tracks along the IND 63rd Street Line. As a result, F trains from Coney Island to Jamaica - 179th are being rerouted over the Queens Boulevard Line. At the same time, a second F service known as the "Shuttle" operates between Lexington Av - 63rd St, Roosevelt Island, and 21st St - Queensbridge. We came to Roosevelt Island to ride this strange little shuttle while we still could.
