About Diaphanous Breeze: "I wrote this piece one summer afternoon as I was looking out the window watching a thick haze of cottonwood seeds drifting by from the cottonwood trees on our greenbelt. It was really an unusual year for cottonwoods that season, and cottonwood seeds caused the air to look like a transparent curtain suspended on the summer breeze. My husband said that “Diaphanous” was the perfect word to describe the scene that day. It means “a delicate and transparent texture” — a perfect description of the inspiration for this song." - Lisa Downing

About the video: "All video shot on iPhone XS Max within a few hundred feet of my front door. There was no pre-production planning, no storyboards, shot sheets, client discussion - nothing. In fact, the idea for the video came as this most amazing Autumn snowfall began and I found myself pointing the camera to the sky. At the time, I hadn't read my friend Lisa's inspiration for her composition, so had no idea we were both moved by rather unusual and beautiful Autumn and Summer that, I dare say, resulted in skies that were - well, very similar in a very different kind of way! Yet, Lisa's music immediately came to mind and as I reviewed the footage, it was clear the two could come together nicely. Had I done all the normal prep. I've no idea what the results would have been. Better? I don't know. Different? Oh absolutely. But y'know, it can be fun to fly by the seat of your pants sometimes!" - jwn
