The good news: Nintendo has finally greenlit a live action The Legend of Zelda movie! The bad news: they're making it in conjunction with Sony Pictures and Avi Arad.

Arad has been courting Nintendo for around a decade now, having at one point become convinced he had secured the rights to an animated Mario film (instead, Nintendo partnered with Illumination). His body of work is primarily related to Spider-Man, and while there are a few absolute gems in there (Into the Spider-Verse, for example), there's also more than a few less well-received films, such as Morbius. And Venom. And Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage. And Ghost in the Shell. And Uncharted. And the Amazing Spider-Man... you get the point.

The good news is that the film's director, Wes Ball, is probably competent, considering that he's currently in post-production for a new Planet of the Apes film. Rumour has it that he also directed the Maze Runner films and that these are fine or whatever, but it's been impossible to verify because nobody who's seen these films actually remembers anything about them.

Sorry for such a weird video, it just felt like time to try something new, plus this has bene a busy week and there wasn't time to draw this one.

Also apologies to anyone and everyone I upset in this video.

Lots of love,
Matthew (aka Kotor)
