This is my long-term review: where they’re good, where they struggle, and some recommendations for alternatives.

CORRECTIONS & CLARIFICATIONS
- In the Siri section, I mention that this is where the industry has “caught up”. I’m referring to the way the assistant is integrated into the earbuds, not to Siri itself. Apple HAS ALWAYS lagged behind both Google and Amazon on this front. Siri does remain better than Cortana (Microsoft) or Bixby (Samsung), possibly Sam (also Samsung), largely because two of those are (effectively?) dead. My conclusion remains: I don’t see this getting better in the next version of the AirPods Pro, short of biometric sensors.
