The Ford Everest is older than the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and Isuzu MU-X - so why does it still seem so fresh? In today’s episode of Chasing Cars, editor Tom Baker conducts a review of the 2022 Ford Everest Trend 2.0 twin-turbo diesel 4x4 wagon in anticipation of the reveal of the new 2023 Ford Everest T6.2.

Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre diesel four-cylinder engine making 157kW of power (210 hp) and 500Nm of torque (368 lb lft). Both RWD and 4WD is available. The Trend 4x4 costs $62,390 before on-road costs.
