Genesis launched the GV60 as a 2023 model year as early as 2021, with production ramping up for its domestic market first followed by international markets such as ours. For 2024 Genesis has added two features as standard equipment, 2 additional airbags for a total of 10, along with a WiFi hotspot. The Performance gets two additional features, the second generation Genesis Digital Key 2, and what Genesis calls Virtual Gear Shift, a simulated 8-speed transmission via the paddle shifters to give the zero people who asked for it a way to drive this EV like a 'normal' car.

We go over the technical specifications of the Genesis GV60 including the price increases in Canada and the USA for 2024. We then hit the road to see how this $83,000 CAD luxury crossover EV performs, drives, rides, and handles, along with several performance tests in Sport mode, Boost mode, 0-60 launches, and more. We discuss our overall thoughts on this vehicle and some of the reasons you may want to consider it.
