Anyone who owns a DJI Phantom may have their share of "FailSafe's" stories to tell. Went out last weekend to fly over at the Hollywood sign and did just that. The video recounts my experience from losing contact of the Phantom to successfully RTH to my position. Tip: Always calibrate the compass whenever you fly from a new location. Believe me this helps.
