Destiny 2 Lightfall - Solo Explicator Raid Boss / Solo Zo'Aurc, Explicator of Planets / Solo Root of Nightmares Raid Boss Explicator Encounter in RoN Destiny 2. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the third encounter in the new Root of Nightmares raid, Explicator. Details, thoughts and timestamps below. I don't think there's enough words to state how truly unenjoyable I found this encounter. It was by far the least fun I've had doing any solo challenge, which is a large part of why I left it until so late in the season. I couldn't bring myself to attempt it for more than a few runs at a time as a result. I could rant for the entire description about all the awful things in this, including (but not limited to): constantly teleporting enemies, the teleporting boss, constant slows and knockbacks, every single enemy pushing you around the map, physics deaths, the sound effects that completely grind my ears, audio cues not working half the time, hiding enemies, the boss randomly removing damage plates, no animation knockbacks, ammo RNG, and of course, the excellent sword tracking. There's so many more annoying things about it too, but I'll leave it there and say I'm glad to be done with this now, and I hope to never see another Colossus in a raid challenge ever again. There's just some encounters that some people don't find fun, and everything about this encounter was that to me.

Difficulty-wise, it's not bad at all, and similar to Nezarec in that sense. It took me somewhere around 15-20 hours, mostly because I spread it out so long and couldn't be motivated to want to do it. It probably didn't help that for most of my attempts I didn't have any of the raid mods equipped for damage too. This is also the last individual solo raid encounter I had left to do, so at the very least I'm happy to have them all done once again.

Outside of that, I'll have the full raid compilation up sometime this week. No plans for Solo Flawless at this point. I'll wait until a future season as I want to take it easy before the new season and I don't want to get any more burned out, but I'll have more on that and my plans going forward in that video.
