Today I will be doing 2 demos about how to add a button placket ANYWHERE on ANY garment.

The first demo will show how to draft an a-line skirt with a button placket down the side of the skirt, and the second demo will show to to draft a button placket on a commercial sewing pattern bodice piece.

The first demo is a great beginner sewing project for people who want to learn how to draft their own skirt patterns.

When I was drafting my backless linen dress pattern, I couldn't find any resources for how to add buttons to the side of a skirt; I could only find videos about how to add buttons down the center back or center front of a garment. I hope this sewing and pattern drafting tutorial will fill that gap.
