Many cordless power tools with not so well known brand names use the same rechargeable batteries as they are produced by the same Chinese manufacturer. The same cannot always by said for the bigger known names like Dewalt, Makita, Milwaukee, Bosch, etc.

I this video I demonstrate how a 18v Li-ion battery for a McGregor grass trimmer made in China works perfectly well with 18v Hawksmoor grass trimmer also made in China (probably in the same factory). This solution makes you free from always buying the same brand of cordless power tools and is eco friendly as those used batteries get a second life.

The battery interchangeability of well known brands is sometimes possible with the help of a custom adapter plate available online.
