Long version of the video. This is a matching numbers 1945 Indian Chief Essential Use Model. It was mechanically restored by Marks Indian Parts Factory, The motor has been completely rebuilt with new pistons, valve train, rebuilt Linkert 344 carburetor. The tranny and clutch have been rebuilt with all new gears , bearings and clutch plates and springs. The tanks has been sealed with Por15. The chassis has many new parts including handlebars, seat, Motolamp headlight, and a feather face horn. The fenders and tanks are original sheet metal manufactured by Indian in 1945. This restoration has many new fasteners, New chain & sprockets too. New tires & tubes. The Autolite generator has been rebuilt and charges the new battery,
This Chief starts on the 1st or 2nd kick when warmed up. It has a 3 speed transmission.
