We were having our usual day out messing about at Khor Al Udeid, Inland Sea. We saw a vehicle in trouble and went to see if we could help.

It turned out to be a brand new Dodge Ram TRX truck, with a 6.2 litre Supercharged motor.
It had got stuck at 08:00 hrs, high tide was at 09:00 hrs.
The front end was in a slough, the water level had reached the top of the hood.

By the time we came across it, around 5 hours after it had got stuck and 4 hours after high tide, it had sunk into the wet sand, which is like cement to shift.

The water had also affected the electronic controls of the car, it was completely dead and more significantly the brakes were locked on and could not be released.

The truck was a completely dead weight, but we managed to pull it out of danger from the next high tide.

Some of the people who had turned up to help decided to drag it further along the beach with the wheels locked. After several failed and violent attempts to do so, the tow rope snapped and literally demolished the tailgate and back end of the Dodge Ram, this is at 30:19

Eventually they were able to get beneath the vehicle and disconnect a cable from a computer that allowed the brakes to be released.

It was then pulled to an area accessible by recovery truck, to be taken away for some very expensive repairs.
