In this episode I continue installing the new “Big Hole” rings to realize my dream of having additional legroom in my 359 Peterbilt. To kick things off, I discovered that I did not install the ring on the cab correctly in the last episode where I huck riveted it to the outside. Looking at old footage from the last time I was out at a heavy truck wrecker, I quickly realized that the ring needs to go on the inside of the cab to ensure water doesn’t leak in. Thank goodness I didn’t cut the hole too large, so it is salvageable, However, looking at it further, maybe replacement cab corners are not a bad idea (future episode). Applying the learnings from the cab to the bunk proved successful though and by then end of the episode I got the ring in the bunk without issue
