Original Song a tribute to the legendary Jerry Doucette

Run Buddy Run is my small tribute to Canadian Music Icon Jerry Doucette.
Jerry had some huge hits in the late seventies and early eighties that became part of our Canadian cultural fabric. Mama Let Him Play and All I Wanna Do are a couple of his standouts. I met Jerry around the year 2000, thanks to his son, Gerry Jr. who pestered his father to come see the new guitar player at the club where we both worked. After we met l had the great pleasure to spend the next 8 years as Jerry's second guitarist, touring the country in a killer band. It was one of the greatest musical experiences of my life. Two years and two days ago Jerry passed on to that great gig in the sky. I'll always be so appreciative to him for taking me on, and to Gerry for making that fateful introduction. Run Buddy Run was the title of one of my favourite Doucette songs. I used the title for this tribute song, with his son’s blessing. We all miss you Jerry.
