Darren Freyer is a helicopter flight instructor for high altitude flying. Come along for a day to see what it’s like to train and fly in some of the most challenging conditions on Earth.

The instructors at HAATS - The High-Altitude Army National Guard Aviation Training Site - rank among the world's most seasoned military helicopter pilots.

Pilots from all branches of the US military, and around the world come here to learn at this unique facility. It is currently the only DOD facility where these trainings are done in an aircraft, outside the classroom.
