Testing an Allied Fluorescent Manufacturing Company T12 rapid-start fluorescent ceiling light fixture. The fixture was set out for free at the curb. It appears to be well cared for over the years, with nothing more than a typical accumulation of dust on the top. It came with Philips 40-watt T12 tubes that seem to have plenty of hours left. The unit is very heavy, I suspect it is magnetically ballasted. It has a high power factor. Based on the appearance of the information tag, I believe this could date back several decades.
