Finding a dock to call home is becoming one of the hardest challenges for liveaboards as of recent. But that doesn’t mean you have to hold off on your dream of living on a boat, it simply means that your plan may need a little revision.

There is a lot more to this lifestyle than simply living at a marina and enjoying the scenery from your boat. If you start out that way, you just may find yourself wanting to expand your horizons (ask us how we know?). But if you plan for those adventures now, it may lead you directly to a life on the water that sometimes may have felt out of reach.

In this video, we cover lots of topics; From how hard it is to find marinas, whether being stationary at a marina is even a good fit, and even some personal limitations and how to overcome them. We often hear prospective liveaboards say things like, “someday”, or “if only I didn’t have this (fill the blank)”. So we decided to hold a discussion on the matter out of hopes that maybe we can convince at least one person to give a second thought to the things that may be holding them back, and whether there is a workaround.
