Mazda introduced an all-new CX-9 to the market for model-year 2016, offering shoppers a 3-row midsize crossover to compete with models like the Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, and GMC Acadia. Setting itself apart, however, the CX-9 impressed with its upscale interior, high-torque turbo engine, and KODO-inspired styling.
Designed with mature families in mind, the CX-9 was built to be decidedly sophisticated, and many shoppers chose this model as a more affordable alternative to a family crossover from more upscale brands.
