I found a few alternate shots from various P&P trailers that did not make it into the original scenes of the movie. Nothing major, second long scenes to the average person but for those obsessed with P&P like me, they’re a treasure. I thought it would be fun to try to fit them into the scenes of the original film and figured I would share it with others. Enjoy.

First one is when and Darcy and Elizabeth first set eyes in each other for the first time. In the movie Elizabeth bows and Darcy immediately turns away once she lifts her eyes. In a trailer there is a quick exchanges where she gives him a flirty smile. I thought it was cute, a shame they cut it.

In scene two Elizabeth walks to Netherfield to visit her sister who has caught a cold. In the movie we see her walk across a field but in a trailer she was shown trying to jump over mud puddles, rather unsuccessfully, explaining why her hem was six inches deep in mud.

Finally, the famous hand flex moment had another shot. In the movie we don’t see Darcy actually take her hand into his. In the trailer version we do, we also see how Elizabeth too felt that spark as she too rubs her fingers against her thumb. Subtle moments are always key in this movie and we caught that! 😉
