Three individuals in the United States have been accused of acts of “domestic terrorism” and face up to 20 years in prison for recent attacks on Tesla.

On Thursday, US Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed three suspects have been charged for destroying Tesla vehicles and charging stations.

In a press release by the Department of Justice, Attorney General Bondi warned those planning to attack Tesla properties.

“The days of committing crimes without consequence have ended. Let this be a warning: if you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars,” Bondi wrote.

The press release revealed the three individuals “will face the full force of the law” after using “Molotov cocktails to set fire to Tesla cars and charging stations.”

According to the DOJ press release, “Each defendant faces serious charges carrying a minimum penalty of five years and up to 20 years in prison.”
