WHAT AN HONOR 🇵🇭 Last January 18, UN Women Philippines launched its 4 year country programs including the UN Women Mentoring & Leadership Program. I am really excited because this focuses on women in regions outside NCR.

As Goodwill Ambassador, we launched our first program in partnership with UP - the SHE STEMS Scholarship Awards. This 2024, we will be awarding 12 Filipina STEM college students in need with a minimum 1.75 GPA (cum laude standing) with at least P120,000 a year for their studies. Awardees need to commit to pursuing a career in STEM in the Philippines.

In the Philippines, there are only 3 Filipinas out of 10 STEM workers. Studies show many Filipinas shift courses midstream. Industry leaders tend to be biased & prefer men in some jobs compared to women. Our goal is to amplify, build and create role models for women in STEM 🇵🇭
