Skaya badly wanted a midnight snack and demanded I make her one… and it just had to be a puppuccino, of course!

Skaya came trotting into the kitchen the other night because she was hungry for a puppuccino! But Starbucks was closed… so she had to make do with my homemade version of a puppuccino! I don’t think she was exactly thrilled to know she’d be getting the “lesser version” of this delicious dog treat, but once she tasted it, I think she may have changed her mind! 😉

Homemade puppuccino’s are very easy to make and are actually healthier than the original treat (since they don’t contain any added sugar!) Here’s how to make your own:

Ingredients:
- 1 cup of full-fat (35%) whipping cream

Steps:
1. Pour your cream into a medium/large mixing bowl
2. Using an electric hand mixer or stand mixer, whip at high speed until stiff peaks form (can take anywhere from 1-2 minutes). Watch out not to overwhip or your cream will curdle and start forming butter!

PRO-TIP: place your mixing bowl in the fridge/freezer to chill 20 minutes beforehand and your cream will whip up faster!

And that’s it! Of course, having a Starbucks cup makes it feel all the more real, so if you have one on hand, go ahead and use it!
