I show how I strip down a faulty 'pull' type clutch cover, which will be used in one of my clocks. Once stripped down, you can put the diaphragm the opposite way around and retain it with the 6 lugs on the underside, giving it a nicer look. also it does away with all that extra unwanted weight of the plate. You can do it all with hand tools but so much quicker using a drill press and hydraulic punch. You just need to drill off the rivet heads, and punch the remaining rivet back through the hole.
