Sunday’s Manchester Derby marks the first meeting between Pep Guardiola and Erik Ten Hag in opposite dugouts. Both are tactically very good managers and it’s clear that the Manchester United boss has been influenced by the former Bayern Munich & Barcelona tactician. The duo actually worked in Bavaria at the same time and you could see the inspiration and similarities in Ten Hag’s Ajax to Guardiola’s Man City from last season.

Ten Hag is only just starting out at Old Trafford but you can already see his influence on his side. Meanwhile, Manchester City are undergoing a transition under Guardiola thanks to the arrival of Erling Haaland.
