Expectations were sky high for their return, and the writers (surprisingly) managed to include the duo in a way that helps us better understand Saul Goodman and his successor, Gene. Episode 11 sheds light on Saul's desire for trauma-concealing projects like Walter White. Jimmy's pain must be offset by high-risk bets, and Walter was the joker he couldn't see hiding in the deck.
