The 2024 U.S. Army Small Arms Championships kicked off today with registration and the 'All Army' Small Arms Firing School. The week-long, annual event hosted by the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit brings together more than 200 Soldiers from the active duty, National Guard, Reserve and ROTC.

Maj. Gen. Curtis A. Buzzard, Commanding General of the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Moore stopped by to provide Soldiers with a warm welcome. Immediately after, Lt. Col. Casey Mills, the USAMU commander, greeted the competitors and shared the purpose of the competition, as well as the unique marksmanship unit located at Fort Moore.
