The Empire is in full disintegration mode, due in part to the successful rebellion of a nascent Republic in Mexico City, and the Emperor of the Paleo y Lagos dynasty watches hungrily to reassert his power from Veracruz. But the history, religions, cultures and geography of the region are defined by much more than simply this temporal conflict; rather, this is a conflict for the soul of the nation, both literally as well as figuratively.
