City News reporting on Councilmember José Huizar introducing a motion to provide temporary emergency shelter on City property for individuals experiencing homelessness in Downtown Los Angeles. Working closely with Mayor Garcetti, Huizar’s legislation outlines a project that would provide trailers complete with emergency shelter beds, storage, personal hygiene facilities and supportive services at Parking Lot 5, located at the El Pueblo Monument at 711 N.
