With the Pirates down 7-6 in the Bottom of the 8th inning of Game 7 of the 1960 World Series, with 2 outs, Hal Smith blasts a 3-run HR off the Yankees' Jim Coates to put the Bucs up 9-7 and only 3 outs away from the Championship. But the champagne would have to wait one more inning as the Yanks tied it in the top of the 9th, only to have Bill Mazeroski eclipse Hal Smith as the Game 7 hero.
