Douglas Fairbanks Jr. had a unique life experience. The child of cinematic royalty, he was the son of actor Douglas Fairbanks and stepson to silent star and pioneer Mary Pickford. Fairbanks Jr. grew up in the shadow of his titan parents but went on to carve his own path as a talented actor during the Talkie era through the Studio era.
