Becoming a Marvel hero takes a whole lot of work - and sweat. Every actor had to figure out how to bulk up and strengthen as much as they could so their bodies could survive the intense toll of what it means to be a Marvel actor.
Jared Leto might be new to the MCU, but he is not at all new to body transformations - and his prep to play Morbius was no exception. The actor started bulking up months in advance of filming even starting. Another newcomer to the MCU, Oscar Isaac, knew there was work to be done. The actor committed to getting as ripped as possible, and since he’d done Dune beforehand, the actor was starting out with an advantage. Another MCU actor who had a bit of a leg up was Hailee Steinfeld who worked with a trainer VERY close to her. The actress had her number one supporter by her side to help her get into the best shape possible - and the results are pretty clearly a total win.
Tom Holland is pretty much perpetually working out, but for his No Way Home training, the actor tried a pretty out there, shredding method that involved kind of being electrocuted. It hurt, but it worked! Simu Liu hit the mat, working out endlessly AND training in martial arts. Oh and his secret weapon? Stretching. He had a whole team that stretched him out for a whopping four months!
No matter how the actors went at it, the results made every ounce of pain worth it.
