Today we will be taking a look at the ASUS ROG Strix Z790-E Gaming WiFi Motherboard. It's aimed at the enthusiast gamer and utilises Intel's Z790 chipet supporting all the latest Intel 13th Gen and 12th Gen processors on the LGA1700 socket.
It features an impressive 18 + 1 power stages each rated to 90A, which delivers ample current to drive the most powerful Intel 13th Gen processors through any workload with ease. For expansion, it comes with 1 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slot, 2 x PCIe 4.0 x16 slots (support x4 mode), and 1 x PCIe 3.0 x1 slot. It also supports XMP profiles for DDR5 ram with speeds of up to DDR5-7800 OC+.
The motherboard comes with a load of enthusiast features wich I really like. These include the diagnostic LEDs, onboard power-on button, ASUS Aura lighting on the I/O hood, VRM heatsink array with built-in heatpipe, PCIE slot Q-Release, M.2 Q-latch, BIOS Flashback and Clear CMOS button
