From The Verge

“PowerA’s new MOGA XP-Ultra is a Frankenstein’s monster of mobile and Xbox hybrid controller. The $129.99 gamepad and phone clip combo is the first third-party option to work wirelessly with Xbox Series X / S consoles. The MOGA XP-Ultra does kind of have it all: wireless for Xbox as well as PC (if you use an Xbox Wireless USB adapter on PC), wired USB-C on Xbox and PC, and Bluetooth 4.2 LE wireless connectivity for PC and Android phones. But even though it has full Xbox compatibility, the controller doesn’t work with iPhones or iPads.”

“We're 'Probably' Getting Mid-Gen Xbox & PlayStation Consoles, Says Take-Two CEO. If you can believe it, we're already into the third year of Xbox Series X|S, which means hardware refreshes could be inbound soon. Last generation we were about to learn of the Xbox One S and Xbox One X at this point in the console's life cycle, and publisher Take-Two reckons we could be close to seeing similar refreshes for Xbox Series.

The company held its latest earnings call last night, which included a bunch of Q&As from investors and other outlets. Gamesindustry.biz posed the question of mid-gen console upgrades to Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick, who mentioned that they were "probably" on the way”

From Gaming Bible

“Xbox, Activision may pull games from UK to move ahead with acquisition. Microsoft could hold Xbox and Activision products back in the UK if their attempted acquisition of Activision goes through in other countries around the world.
It’s certainly not the outcome that Microsoft was hoping for. On 26 April, the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) blocked the tech giant’s proposed $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision. For months, regulatory bodies from around the world have been scrutinising the deal. It’s the future of the Call of Duty franchise that’s piqued most people’s interest. Originally, Microsoft said they wouldn’t make it an Xbox-exclusive, later confessing at least not for a while anyway. Then, a 10-year access deal was offered to PlayStation and Nintendo. It wasn’t enough to sway the CMA though whose main concern surrounds Microsoft potentially monopolising the cloud gaming market.”

From IGN

“Stray Could Be Coming to Xbox Following ESRB Rating. BlueTwelve Studio’s cat-based adventure game Stray has received an ESRB rating for Xbox consoles, suggesting its time as a PlayStation console exclusive could be coming to an end.

As spotted by VGC, the new listing on the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website rates Stray for the Xbox One and Xbox Series, unsurprisingly at the same E10+ rating as the PlayStation and PC versions.”

From Pure Xbox

“Rumour: Forza Motorsport To Release This October, It's Claimed. YouTube host MrMattyPlays dropped a little hint about a potential release window on a recent episode of the Defining Duke podcast. The claim is vague and very much a rumour right now, but Matty reckons we could be looking at an October release month for Forza Motorsport.”
