We had a quick stop in Brisbane before our final destination in Australia! Even though our time was short, we still learned a lot about the city - especially all the spots we want to spend more time in during our next visit! 🇦🇺

1. I’m not a huge gelato person (this is Amy speaking) but Anita Gelato had some amazing flavor combinations that really surprised me. The whole West Village around this gelato spot was so fun and full of various shops and restaurants. You could easily find something for everyone.🍦

2. Our favorite activity while in Brisbane was the Kangaroo Segway Tour. We chose to do the night tour and I think it was the best option we could have made. Brisbane does an excellent job lighting up the city at night and I really feel like our tour guide gave us a really good look at each section of the city.

3. Streets Beach is probably the most iconic part of Brisbane but we had NO idea it was here until our tour guide brought us to it 😳 It’s sad to think we would have missed this entirely had it not been for that tour. It’s a free resort-style pool and beach with barbecues, a playground, splash pads, water features, wifi, public toilets, etc. And I’ll say it again cause it’s still so insane to me - it’s FREE 💰

4. These were sadly closed when we got there but we heard the Collective Markets in South Bank are a must. They are right behind Streets Beach along the tree lined street and it’s full of locally made crafts, jewelry, art, home decor, and clothing.

5. Although this park was filled with all the creatures Australia is famous for (🕷️🦎), the Spectacle Garden in the Roma Street Parklands was so beautiful. It’s an especially wonderful place to pass the time if you’re waiting on a train since it’s right behind the station. There is also a wonderful cafe in the park but do not get the cold brew! Everything else was great but I’m warning you - that cold brew is poisoned.
