Potato Samosas w/ two cilantro chutneys

These samosas are so good & so addicting! They are super easy to make & are the perfect appetizer. I use wonton wrappers to make my life easier, but trust me - it is the perfect substitute. Give this recipe a try!



INGREDIENTS
- 2 potatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas & carrots
- 1 bunch cilantro
- 1/2 onion
- 1 tbsp crushed garlic
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
- red pepper flakes to taste or finely diced jalapeño for spice
- 1 14oz package wonton wrappers

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Start out by boiling 2 potatoes - then mash
2. Microwave peas & carrots in some water until soft
3. Saute onion until translucent
4. Add in your garlic & spices - cook for 1-2 mins
5. Add in your potatoes - mix
6. Add in peas & carrots & cilantro
7. Turn off heat, let cool
8. In the meantime prepare your chutney
9. Fill the potato filling into each wonton wrapper
10. Fry the samosas until lightly golden - crispy
11. Serve immediately with chutney


Cilantro Chutney
- small bunch cilantro
- 1-2 jalapeno or serrano peppers
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar
- salt to taste


Cilantro - Mint Chutney
- small bunch cilantro
- about 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- 1 jalapeno or serrano pepper
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup plain yogurt
- 1/3 - 1/2 cup water - for blending
- salt to taste
