A robot capable of burrowing through grain could help save millions of tonnes of food waste every year and also save human lives.

The Crover robot aims to be the first fully-automated grain drone able to penetrate 10 metres beneath grain storage silos and report back on moisture and humidity levels, and in doing so, it should prevent bugs and fungi from growing in the grain.
