Glenn "GRIII" (pronounced "Gree") Robinson III, this season, has really impressed me with his ability to actually score some points once in a while. He had spent his entire career up until this point being content with being a 10 point-per-36 scorer, but now that he's got a real role on a team, he's more like a 13 point-per-36 scorer! I guess the thing we can take away from this is that his increased offensive output is largely a result of him receiving consistent big minutes (he's leading the team in both minutes per game and raw minutes) for the first time in his career, but he's also upped the aggressiveness a bit.

And what better way to ring in the new year than by tying your career high and hitting a clutch shot to send the game into overtime against a vaunted Spurs franchise? Ignore the fact that neither of these teams is very reminiscent of their recent dynastic years, this was still an INTENSE game with a PLAYOFF atmosphere. Two floundering franchises pretending that this is game 7 of the Western Conference Finals instead of just another meaningless regular season game that has no implications for anything except future draft position.

Yeah, this was a big performance for GRIII. His team didn't end up winning, but he is the reason they even had a chance to win in the first place. For a team like the Warriors, that counts for a lot. Just having the chance to win is pretty much as good as actually winning, if not better, because you can never start tanking too early.
