Larry Brockman enlisted in the Army in July of 1969 and served as a mechanic, crew chief, and flight engineer with the 213th Assault Support Helicopter Company. Brockman left active duty following the war and eventually joined the reserves in 1973. He would later deploy to Kuwait for Desert Storm in 1991 and deploy again ten years later during the invasion of Iraq. After over thirty-nine years of service, Brockman retired from the military.
