Founded in 1870, CSU has made a name for itself domestically and internationally due to its extensive academic resources and the successes of its D1 Rams athletics teams. In addition to its renowned Honors Program and Key Communities, CSU is known in particular for its departments in the life sciences, especially veterinary medicine, as well as pre-professional fields such as occupational therapy.
