Kannada actor-director Raj B Shetty is awaiting the release of his 'Toby', an action-drama directed by debutant Basil Alchalakkal.

Raj, who has written the script based on the story of TK Dayanand, stars as the lead while Chaithra J Achar and Samyukta Hornad play important roles in 'Toby'. Raj talks to The Hindu about his first big-scale project, the comparison between 'Toby', and his sophomore directorial 'Garuda Gamana Vrishabha Vahana'. The filmmaker talks about the importance of writing in cinema.
