In this interview, I have the pleasure of speaking with Dr. Saqib Hussain. Dr. Hussain is currently an assistant professor in the department of theology at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. He obtained his D.Phil. in Oriental Studies at the University of Oxford. His work focuses on the Qur'an generally as well as Wisdom as it is understood in the Qur'an along with its Biblical subtext.

Today we talk about the Qur'an's version of Biblical creation as well as the significance of one passage in the Qur'an in particular concerning this. We also discuss Adam in the Qur'an and the Muslim approach to interpreting Qur'anic material about an original human ancestor.
