Welcome to my first-time watching as we react to Logan (2017), an emotional rollercoaster that says goodbye to Hugh Jackman's iconic portrayal of his character Wolverine/Logan. The director James Mangold added some incredible tones in this film I was definitely not expecting.

The performances by Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier and Dafne Keen as Laura/X-23 were absolutely phenomenal. This story recontextualizes some of these characters and the actors absolutely carried that task!

"Logan" unfolds in a near-future where an aged Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, struggles with his own mortality and the burden of a world that no longer cherishes mutants. This movie took me completely by surprise and exceed all of my expectations. There's so many elements that make "Logan" standout but Jackman's powerful performance and the emotional depth this story has is definitely one of my favorite aspects of this phenomenal film.

As a fan of the original X-Men films this felt like an appropriate send off to the character. The trailer didn't do this movie justice at all. I am so glad I watched this. R rated Wolverine is exactly what I needed!
