First, let me say that I AM NOT A PLUMBER. I have a tankless water heater and have had to replace the heat exchanger two times over the last nine years, despite flushing two to four times per year. I have recently increased the size of my water softener and wanted to take additional precautions to avoid these costly repairs. This is my first time using SharkBite fittings and working with PEX tubing. I know that some people love these fittings and some people hate them. I needed to install a sediment filter and wanted to give them a try.
