A little story-time:

I heard about the HBCU Cash Out contest last week while watching TBS as I was cooking, I usually don’t pay attention to the tv while I’m cooking but luckily, I heard the advertisement of “Do you want to win $25,000 to pay off your student loans?!” & my ears automatically perked up! I really wanted to be apart of the HBCU Cash Out contest but I felt discouraged thinking I wouldn’t have time to between work, prior obligations & working around my Fiancé’s (who filmed this) availability since he works 2 jobs.. I decided to mention it to my family and fiancé and they all encouraged me to GO FOR IT! So I did! I jumped on it as soon as I could! Took several days to record and edit the footage but I love creating videos so this was not only rewarding but fun to shoot!

As a proud legacy of Alabama A&M University, graduating with honors in Business Administration during the Covid-19 pandemic, I’ve set the bar high. AAMU has given me the tools I need to grow, the knowledge I need to succeed, the power I need to overcome any obstacle, and the opportunities I need to be a leader in my community. A SHARED VISION of AAMU is 'to impact our Communities and Contribute to Society.'

With my degree from AAMU, I am able to assist my Father in running our family owned small business. Growing up, seeing my father’s drive and determination to be successful, has taught me the importance of never giving up and how big of an impact a small minority business can make on our community. I admire my Dad’s hard work and entrepreneurship and my degree will allow me to hopefully fill his shoes one day.
