We head to Moab, Utah, to surprise Collin’s dad, George, with the finished build on his 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon, also known as the Jeep LJ. Built in the Rockies by 3D Offroad, the Silver Bullet LJ is our modern take on a classic machine that boasts a 10” longer wheelbase over that of the Jeep TJ. Highly sought after within the Jeep and off-road community, the Jeep LJ makes for an excellent rock crawler, especially when you make some functional changes to improve its ride height, off-road capability, and on-road drivability! In order to preserve the excellent condition of George’s LJ, the team at Built2Wander avoided any heavy cutting in the body and maintained the stock LJ wheelbase.

It was a jam and came down to the wire, but the team at 3D Offroad and Built2Wander managed to pull off the full build just in time for the start of the annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Following the surprise reveal to George, Built2Wander spends the next 5 days on some of Moab’s most well-known trails to prove how trail worthy the new Silver Bullet LJ really is. It quickly earns respect by keeping up with the Triton JL and Blaze JT builds on some of Moab’s tougher trails such as Moab Rim and Metal Masher.

Follow along for Jeep LJ Unlimited build mods and ideas as we reveal the build and do a full walk around highlighting all of the aftermarket parts and components that went into the build. From Currie Enterprises axles with Carbon Off Road gears and shafts to 37” Nitto Tires and KMC Beadlocks, the foundation of the Silver Bullet LJ is as stout as they come! Featuring aluminum body armor and fenders from Genright Off Road along with Savvy Off Road’s aluminum bumpers, this Jeep LJ has plenty of additional strength in all of the right areas without packing on too much excess weight. The Silver Bullet LJ rides incredible both on road and off thanks to the Savvy Off Road Mid-Arm Suspension System with RockJock 4x4 Control Arms, Johnny Joints, and Antirock Sway Bars. Bilstein Shock Absorbers help keep it stable in the rocks and comfortable on the road.

Be sure and tune in to see how well this special build came together. We are thrilled to see Collin’s dad George enjoying it on its maiden voyage in Moab, Utah for the Easter Jeep Safari and excited to see all of the trails he will be joining us on with his new build! Drop us a comment below and let us know what you think of the finished build.
