On Monday, June 12, HCGH President Shafeeq Ahmed, M.D., announced Howard County General Hospital’s name is changing to Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary as a hospital and our 25th anniversary as a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM), we look toward our future and continuing our commitment to be the community’s premier health care provider. Being part of JHM is who we are and who we have been. We are proud of our 25-year legacy, and our new name reflects that ongoing connection.
