In the center of Castilla extends the so-called Tierra de Pinares. There, one of the products obtained is the pine nut. To collect the pine cones, the men climb the tall pine trees hanging from long poles, which has given them the nickname "human squirrels." In 1997 we were able to share with the pine nut growers of Pedrajas de San Esteban (Valladolid) the difficult work of extracting the pine nuts.
