Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Doctor Strange that will be released in 2022. It is the sequel to Doctor Strange (2016) and the 28th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, produced by Marvel Studios and released by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures (M C U). Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Michael Stuhlbarg, and Rachel McAdams star alongside Benedict Cumberbatch as Stephen Strange in the film directed by Sam Raimi and written by Michael Waldron. Strange and his allies journey across the universe to meet a mysterious new foe in the flick.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness premiered in Hollywood on May 2, 2022, and will be released in the United States on May 6, 2022, as part of the Phase Four of the MCU.
