In this video, I show you how to build your own wooden raised garden boxes. We'll discuss the best types of wood to use, the proper way to construct them, and even how to install them. Follow along as we take you through the entire process step by step.

We start by exploring the different types of wood you can use for your garden boxes. We recommend using Eastern Red Cedar, Western Red Cedar, Redwood, or Douglass Fir, but other woods like Cypress, Larch, Black Locust, or Eastern Hemlock may also work well. Avoid using pine, which only lasts a few years, and railroad ties should never be used.

I built my raised garden beds 13 inches high, 8 feet wide and 2.5 feet deep.
