At a time when Muslims of India were under the rule of the British, living as second class citizen dominated by the Hindus, it was Allama Iqbal who was absent to spark a desire of higher achievement in their life. Dr Muhammad Iqbal through his poetry was able to make the impact. The Muslim character symbolised as Shaheen (Falcon) and philosophy of Khudi (Self) was effective in achieving the target.

It was Iqbal who stood up to support Jinnah, eventually making him Quaid-e-Azam in 1938.

This interesting incident was narrated by Dr Javaid Iqbal, son of Iqbal, who witnessed the immense love and affection that his father had for Jinnah.
